Who I Am
The Level Chambers exists to help homeowners and facility managers think clearly about exterior construction work. Roofing, siding, windows, decks, general contracting—these are decisions that carry real risk and real money. Before you call anyone, you need to know what actually matters and who to trust with it.
We’ve spent the last three years researching contractors across New Hampshire and the Northeast, visiting job sites while work is underway, evaluating finished projects in all seasons, and building direct relationships with the ones whose quality doesn’t slip when the inspector leaves or the homeowner’s attention turns elsewhere. We read reviews, but we don’t stop there. We talk to people who hired them three years ago. We ask about their crew turnover, their permit history, and whether their work looks the same on a third-story detail that nobody will ever see as it does on the front façade everyone passes every day.
We wouldn’t use anyone else, and we tell people that straight.
When someone asks us who to call, we refer them only to people we would hire ourselves for our own homes. That’s the standard. Not “pretty good” or “probably fine.” People who actually know their trade and care whether the work holds.
Our Standards, Stated Plainly
We look for contractors who specialize rather than dabble. We check their licenses and insurance. We ask about their warranty—not what they claim, but what they’ll put in writing. We care whether they show up on time, communicate clearly, and clean up after themselves. We notice whether a crew treats the surrounding landscaping like it matters. And we absolutely listen to what former clients say, including what they didn’t like.
